Exceptional Antique French Empire period barometer. Circa 1800-1815. In carved and gilded wood, featuring a beautiful large carved crest, and an octogonal and a unique cobalt blue enamel style dial. In the dial you can see the gilt lettering indicating weather conditions in French: tres sec: very dry, Beau temps- fine weather, etc.
